What is class like?
You will learn graceful and nourishing movements to collect and store qi, expel unhealthy qi and connect with your inner self. You feel more peaceful and balanced as Qi circulates in your body, bringing a feeling of completion.
Why exercise is not enough?
The purpose of exercise is muscle strengthening and fitness. You will notice some “healthy” frequently exercise people are always sick. Qi-energy and exercise are different systems, just like why you would comb your hair and brush your teeth. Both are brushing movements, but for different purpose.
Is it like Taiji / Tai-chi?
The movements are smooth and graceful like Taiji but it’s not as precise. There are no steps to remember like Taiji, you just follow the instructor. In Taiji class, I notice that people love the Taiji benefits but find it stressful to remember all the steps, you will like this class.
Who should join this class?
Qi is energy for the body, like battery life is for your mobile. You should not wait until you are sick to build up Qi. Our current pace of life is too fast, people are frequently sick and stressed out, we need mindfulness practice, to bring the ying-yang balance back into our body.
Anyone can benefit from this class. If you are frequently sick, going through a tough time, this is the class for you.
Note: this is not a fitness class, where you build muscles. Our focus is the quality of Qi.
What to expect in class?
You will learn specific movements to collect and nourish the Qi energy in your body, movements may be standing or seating. Letting go of negative emotions and some meditation to quiet the mind. Just follow the instructor.
